Ravers need proper rest, hydration and exercise in order to achieve the stamina involved with dancing the night away. At multi-day festivals, especially, physical wellness is crucial for fans to stay energized and avoid the dreaded post-festival "wook flu."

New research from digital healthcare platform Tebra suggests that fans of electronic music are among the healthiest when compared to listeners of other genres. In fact, EDM fans are likely to drink 16 or more cups of water per day, the study found, and they're more likely to exercise frequently and get eight or more hours of sleep per night.

Tebra's data also suggests electronic music fans were found to rarely visit their doctor. Another interesting finding in the research pointed to EDM ranking as a music genre that people would least likely want to hear in a doctor's waiting room. Rather, genres like rock, pop and hip-hop are better suited for the doctor's office, the study indicated.

Tebra says they surveyed 1,002 Americans about their health habits and music preferences. Respondents were able to select up to three genres they liked.
