Above & Beyond and Seven Lions, whose relationship started with a remix competition in 2011, have finally brought about a full-fledged collaboration. Their dual offering "See The End" featuring Opposite the Other, which premiered during the trio's set at EDC Las Vegas, brings the heavyweight producers closer than ever with their first original collaboration.
Seven Lions (real name Jeff Montalvo) had his career launched by the Above & Beyond remix competition in 2011 after his unique take on the trio's "You Got To Go" caught their attention. Their relationship has stood the test of time with Montalvo going on to remix several more of the trio's songs throughout his career.
Most recently, Montalvo, a pioneer of melodic dubstep, put his signature spin on the trio's "Sahara Love" earlier this year. It seemed by that point, both acts were ready to give the fans what they wanted with an original collaboration. Montalvo reflected on his relationship with the trio stating, "My journey began with a remix way back in 2011, and to finally see this collab [sic] come out is a real full-circle moment and one I'll cherish for a long time.”
