Adventure Club and Modern Machines Cover Taking Back Sunday's "MakeDamnSure"
Adventure Club's appreciation for pop punk isn't exactly a secret, and they've gone as far as to reimagine one of the genre's classics. In collaboration with NYC DJ/producer Modern Machines, the Canadian duo have delivered a cover of Taking Back Sunday's "MakeDamnSure" - this time featuring Saint Slumber.
Taking Back Sunday vocalist Adam Lazzara's high-pitched vocal is taken down an octave in the Adventure Club x Modern Machines version. The former duo's melodic brand of bass music shines through most notably in the arragement, with bright synth work punctuating the drop in all its grandeur.
After a two-year lapse, Adventure Club (consisting of Christian Srigley and Leighton James) reincarnated their "Superheroes Anonymous" mix series in the summer of last year. More recently, they collaborated with fellow Canadian dubstep mainstay Snails on "Follow Me" featuring Sara Diamond.
