Carnage, G-Eazy, and Wiz Khalifa have been connected for over a decade, and now they have the breakup song of the summer on their hands. Their collaboration "Wait For Me" comes following Carnage's recent single "Letting People Go," a song that broke the producer's four-month hiatus that extended into early 2019.
Throughout his career Carnage's link to the traditional hip-hop scene has been palpable. The "Bricks" producer has an affinity for bringing dominant names in rap into the electronic space, and with G Eazy and Wiz Khalifa working alongside him in his latest effort, that link has never been stronger.
Speaking about how the collaboration came together, Carnage stated:
Monstercat Is Hosting a Virtual Game Show to Celebrate the Label's 11th Anniversary
"Monstercat Presents 1-For-1" challenges include Best Artist Cosplay, Guess The Song and Demonstrate Your Photoshop Skills.
Helicopter Captures Remarkable 70,000-Person Crowd Control Experience at Defqon.1 2022
The festival featured performances from hardstyle icons Headhunterz, Sub Zero Project and D-Block & S-te-Fan, among many others.
Bonnie X Clyde Drop Heartfelt Single "In Too Deep" Ahead of New Album
"In Too Deep" is a slow-burning tidal wave of captivating lyricism and aching sound design.
“G, Wiz and I all go way back. I have known G for over twelve years and Wiz for over ten, so it felt like a family reunion with all us coming together on ‘Wait for Me.’ When the three of us got together the energy was just crazy and the song of the summer was born.”
Carnage has also returned to the road for his 16-stop Reincarnation Tour. Amid the tour, he was invited to perform alongside Drake during his stop in Amsterdam. Carnage is performing a full schedule of dance music and hip-hop-focused festivals throughout the summer including Tomorrowland and Lyrical Lemonade.
Listen to Carnage, Wiz Khalifa, and G-Eazy wax poetic about the ones that got away here.
