David Guetta and Martin Solveig Stun in Progressive House-Inspired "Thing For You"
Two French EDM superstars who need no introduction have delivered a track fit for the airwaves and festival main stages alike. "Thing For You" marks the first official collaboration between Frenchmen David Guetta and Martin Solveig, and the place where their styles meet is perfect for the summer season.
Driven by an infectious vocal that lingers long after the song ends, "Thing For You" bears distinct progressive house influences. Between its classic-sounding synth work and four-on-the-floor drum pattern, the collaboration has enough that would cater to dance music fans with maturing tastes while still retaining a measure of mainstream appeal.
"Thing For You" contrasts sharply with Guetta's previous release. Wading into the waters of reggaeton, he and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike teamed up with Afro Bros, Daddy Yankee and Natti Natasha on a radio-ready single titled "Instagram."
