deadmau5 Collabs with dronehands on "The Horn of Jericho"
deadmau5' sphere of influence extends far outside of music, but a lot of the roads often lead back to the same place. The Canadian producer has found a massive audience on streaming platform Twitch in recent years and has teamed up with fellow streamer dronehands on "The Horn of Jericho."
The song was track #4 on dronehands' December album October Forever - which he self-released, although deadmau5 (real name Joel Zimmerman) said it was "sort of Mau5trap." In a Twitch stream, Zimmerman credited himself for about half of the downtempo/experimental soundscape.
Zimmerman has taken on an eclectic variety of projects over the course of his career. In addition to professional gaming and stage design, he most recently made a foray into scoring films by contributing the soundtrack to the upcoming Netflix movie Polar.
