deadmau5 Celebrates 17 Years of "Jaded" With New Remix Package: Listen
Now that deadmau5's influential single "Jaded" is old enough to graduate high school, a gift in the form of a four-track remix EP is in order.
Back in 2007, deadmau5, then a budding superstar in the electronic music scene, released "Jaded," a track that would become a fan-favorite in his endless library of hits. Despite the song's popularity, diehard fans relied on old downloads and rips since it was unavailable on most streaming services.
Now, deadmau5 is celebrating 17 years of "Jaded" with an official re-release and remix package. With nearly two decades of experience under his belt since the release of the original, "Re_Jaded" is a 12-minute tribute to the evolution of deadmau5's timeless sound, showcasing the brilliant songwriting and masterful production skills that inspired a generation.
Beautifully pairing with the soul-stirring melodies of the minimal classic, deadmau5 also produced a dreamlike ambient rework of "Jaded."

Subtronics is set to redefine the moth-eaten Vegas DJ residency with a string of headline gigs that promise more bass than the city has ever seen.
The final song on the EP is a remix from mau5trap favorite Volaris. Humbly acknowledging that he had big shoes to fill, the iusing producer said that "Jaded" inspired a lot of his listening habits and he made many versions of his remix to make sure the final product did justice.
"'Jaded' was one of the first tunes that got me fully into progressive house," Volaris said in a press release. "It is such an infectious tune, when I got asked to remix it, I was nervous as what can you do to an already huge and iconic record. I’ve made so many versions of this remix as I really wanted to do it justice. Ultimately this isn’t here to compete with the original as nothing ever will but I hope you like my take on this iconic tune."
