Another prestigious alumni of the exalted Icon Collective music production school, Dillon Nathaniel has once again demonstrated his considerable technical mastery with the debut of “Obsessions.” It's the first single to be released from his forthcoming sophomore EP on Big Beat Records.
Striving to find a balance between upbeat electronic music and technical trance beats, “Obsessions” accelerates straight out of the gate, hitting the listener with a bubbly, heart-pumping launch that segues into a gritty and slightly ominous house beat. From beginning to end, the progression is constant and the energy continues to build. With his well-established roots in audio manipulation and a background as both a vocalist and guitarist, it's no wonder Nathaniel pushes the limits of engineering with his deliberate, bass-heavy approach to production.
As Nathaniel continues his journey towards reshaping the modern dance music landscape, we'll be keeping a close eye out for the release of his forthcoming Big Beat Records EP, due for release on August 16th.
