It's been three years since Eric Prydz released a longer body of work under his Pryda alias. The Swedish superstar DJ has now shared an eight-song album titled Pryda 15 Vol II sure to be well received by his fervent international fan base.
As with other releases under the alias (and some under his real name being that the two have become nearly interchangeable), the album encapsulates the synthwave-infused style of progressive house for which Prydz has become iconic. Standouts singles include "The Riddle," "Villa Mercedes" and "The Hiidden," whose arpeggiated synth lines build towards an introspective allure.
In 2015, Prydz had released three EPs under his Pryda alias comprised of music that had found its way into his sets for ten years prior. The following year he delivered his long-awaited debut album, Opus, whose title track became a favorite among a generation of electronic music fans growing into more sophisticated sounds.
