Excision and Dion Timmer Release "Time Stood Still" Ahead of New EP
Bass music giants Excision (real name Jeff Abel) and Dion Timmer have been teasing us with a collaborative EP since December. Just last week fans were treated to the impending due date of the Breaking Through EP, which is set for release Friday, June 21st. As an early gift, they have dropped the first track off the EP today titled "Time Stood Still."
The track is a great blend of angelic, blissed out chords with classic, heavy rippling bass drops. It feels like a flashback to the golden era of dubstep. This one is going to perform beautifully live. If this is any indication of what's in store for fans this Friday, we all need to buckle up.
The EP follows Abel's 14-track Apex LP from October of last year, and the 10-track December EP by Timmer titled Very Extra. Timmer revealed that he plans to follow this up with another EP titled Very Extra II: Enter Achroma. He also recently collaborated with Zeds Dead on the track "Rescue" ft. Delaney Jane.
