Flosstradamus, or Curt Cameruci, tapped hip-hop duo BLVK JVCK and Leat’eq for a sinister track titled “G.O.D. (GRIND OR DIE).”
The song’s simplistic lead up, marked by BLVCK JVCK’s classic hip-hop sound, masks the imminent neck-breaking drop. That's when Cameruci’s signature trap sound comes through — an amount of trap that is in your face without being too overwhelming.
BLVCK JVCK, made up for Andrew “Dru Brett” Harr and Jermaine “Mayne Zayne” Jackson, got their start on DJ Khaled’s production team under the moniker The Runners. During that time the pair produced hits like “Go Hard” by DJ Khaled and “Hustlin’” by Rick Ross.
The duo has since pitted to the electronic sphere. One of their singles, “Mine Luv,” features Grammy-nominated artist H.E.R.. In 2019, expect the cinematic series MVGIC CITY, the first episode of which was the “G.O.D.” music video (found here).
