Galantis Enlist OneRepublic for Festival-Ready "Bones"
Swedish main stage dance floor fillers Galantis have tapped an American pop rock band for their latest endeavor. They've delivered their first single of 2019 in the form of "Bones" featuring OneRepublic, making it clear that they're ready for festival season.
Instrumentals from the bandmates help paint the backdrop of "Bones" while Ryan Tedder's vocals are accompanied by an upbeat synth lead in the forefront. Their creative chemistry is evident. While certainly a smart business move for both camps, the song also comes across as the natural result of Galantis and OneRepublic's input.
Considering the number of cooks in the kitchen that's no easy feat, either. Galantis consists of DJ/producers Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw whereas Tedder is accompanied by guitarist Zach Filkins, guitarist Drew Brown, bassist and cellist Brent Kutzle, and drummer Eddie Fisher in OneRepublic. The former group rose to fame for singles like 2014's "Runaway (U&I)," and the latter's hits extend all the way back to "Apologize" in 2006.
