Getter Drops Wonky Festival Trap Tune "Ham Sandwich"
After a lapse in releases that spanned several months - during which time he put out songs under his Terror Reid hip-hop alias - Getter has made his return. The San Jose, California talent got in touch with his inner trap producer for a single titled "Ham Sandwich."
Diehard fans of Getter's typically inventive style may be somewhat disappointed with the track, however. Some of the sound design nuance in "Ham Sandwich" hints at his keen ear for arrangement, but the concept as a whole fails to tell a story that hasn't been told through the medium of festival trap.
Getter (real name Tanner Petulla) made his big break in 2012 by signing to Datsik's Firepower Records, only to upgrade to Skrillex's OWSLA imprint shortly thereafter. Outside of the electronic music space, he is perhaps best known as popularizing the catchphrase "suh dude" alongside Nick Coletti on short-form video hosting platform Vine.
