Grandtheft Releases "Bags" Via Mad Decent
DJ Aaron Waisglass, known professionally as Grandtheft, brings another hard trap track to the Mad Decent family with “Bags.” The song's hybrid trap synth, mashed up with choppy vocals, makes for a beat that’s difficult not to bump to.
The Toronto-based DJ/producer released his debut EP Quit This City via Diplo’s label, Mad Decent, in October 2015. The hard club beat of "Bags" may seem like a divergence from Grandtheft's slower-tempo originals, but the release showcases the artist's genre-bending abilities.
His original song “Keep it 100” with Keys N Krates nabbed the Best EDM Dance Video MMVA, and even made an appearance in the Minions movie trailer.
In addition to his trap tracks, Grandtheft has dropped remixes that are staple to any EDM party playlist. Among them are “Sweet Nothing - Diplo + Grandtheft Remix” and “No Mediocre (Grand Theft Remix ft. Migos).”
