Billboard reports that Illenium's Ascend has topped the Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Illenium's third studio project, released two weeks ago, is the producer's first to achieve No. 1 status on the chart. On the Billboard 200 chart, Illenium has also achieved another career-high as Ascend sits currently at No. 14.
Illenium has moved incrementally towards achieving these top honors with his previous two albums. His debut, Ashes, peaked at No.6 on the Dance/Electronic chart followed up by Awake which peaked at No.3 the following year.
Early into his most recent album cycle, it became clear Ascend would go on to become his biggest project yet. Two weeks following the album's release, that's proven to be true. The album's singles including "Good Things Fall Apart" with Jon Bellion and "Takeaway" alongside The Chainsmokers are two of Illenium's biggest songs to date. Following Ascend's release, Illenium's collaboration with X Ambassadors "In Your Arms" is also rapidly breaking into the forefront.
It's all upside for Illenium as he takes Ascend on the road. The tour is already in high demand, perhaps best evidenced by what will be three sold-out shows in a row at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. For Ascend Tour tickets and more, visit Illenium's website.
