deadmau5 and Kaskade Unite With SOFI TUKKER for Emotionally Charged Kx5 Single, "Sacrifice"
It's been less than one year since deadmau5 and Kaskade revealed their collaborative alias, Kx5. In that time, the tandem released a slew of knockout singles before recently announcing a self-titled debut album is in the pipeline.
Ahead of the official release of Kx5, which is slated for March 17th, they've now revealed a stunning single produced in collaboration with genre-defying, Grammy-nominated duo SOFI TUKKER.
In "Sacrifice," an emotive topline courtesy of SOFI TUKKER's Sophie Hawley-Weld voices matters of the heart ever so eloquently: "Will you sacrifice for me if I don't sacrifice for you / I won't be the one to let you go / But I'm not givin' you anything to hold on to." Merging potent, raw emotions with a pounding, four-on-the-floor beat is no small feat, but the two formidable dance music duos have expertly produced an emotionally charged single that will fill any dancefloor.
