With less than a month to go before the release of the video game crossover film Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, Norwegian tropical house producer Kygo announced his upcoming collaboration with Rita Ora will be featured on the original soundtrack and released this Friday. At the time of writing, they've disclosed the song title, "Carry On," and its release date.
Considering Rita Ora's long history of dance music collaborations, "Carry On" has the makings of another main stage rocker. In November, the 28-year-old vocalist dedicated her last album to the late Avicii.
Kygo (real name Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll) has been hard at work as of late, with the recent release of a music video for his track "Think About You" featuring an appearance from Dylan Sprouse.
"Carry On" is not the only dance music crossover related to the upcoming movie. In a trailer for the film, Diplo made a brief cameo DJing in a club scene. He said that his upcoming appearance in the movie "... is the first time my kids have ever thought i’m cool."
