Felix De Laet, better known as Lost Frequencies, released the new single “Recognise” with Irish artist Flynn on Armada Music, Armin van Buuren’s records label.
De Laet uses the plucks of an acoustic guitar to butter Flynn’s emotive, soaring vocals — while the driving percussion brings home the DJ’s signature, but ever-adapting tropical dance. The Irish artist’s indie pop sound bridges the introspective lyrics for a brooding pop hit.
Expect this track to make many warm-weather playlists this summer. In the meantime, get lost in the song with its recently-released music video.

Having recently concluded his headline North American tour in February, De Laet shows no signs of slowing down. This year alone, the Belgian DJ has and will continue to play at a good number of festivals around the world, most notably Ultra Music Festival this year.
De Leat first catapulted to success in 2014 with his house-pop single “Are You with Me.” He’s since maintained his upward momentum, cementing the number 17 spot in the top 100 DJs list.
Beyond the accolades, De Laet launched his own label last year, Found Frequencies. The label will serve as a home to the DJ’s own music, in addition to that from other talents.
Lost Frequencies is often associated with tropical house, but De Laet emphasizes how Found Frequencies will go “way past chill vibes only,” as he writes in the label’s description. “I intend to release a few club records of my own… I really hope it’s a musical taste many find enjoyable.”
