LP Giobbi Drops Eclectic Remix Package for Debut Album, "Light Place"
Two months after the release of her hotly anticipated debut album Light Places, LP Giobbi has delivered an eclectic remix package.
Light Places Remixes offers nine imaginative, house-centric reworks. Giobbi has hand-picked a sundry of talented artists including DESIREE, Le Chev, Krystal Klear, Chloé Caillet, DJ Tennis, Joseph Ashworth, Joe Goddard, Anden and VENGA for the bundle, resulting in a diverse array of new music that gives each track a fresh feel.
Tennis and Ashworth did a phenomenal job placing their distinct spin on both "Can't Let You Go" and "Georgia." The former has been turned into a more club-friendly track including an uptick in tempo while the latter is a stripped-down version of the original complete with a much darker tone. DESIREE's remix of "All I Need" is just as captivating, subduing the upbeat house sounds of the original and replacing it with colorful piano riffs and rhythmic percussion.
Following the release of Light Places, Giobbi made her Defected Records debut with "Giodisco" and released a tasteful remix of Röyksopp and Maurissa Rose's "Feel It." In addition to a heap of new music, the FEMME HOUSE founder recently had a remarkable performance at the Oregon Country Fair and is currently on her "Dead House" tour.
