Travis Stewart, A.K.A. Machinedrum, has put his distinguished experimental touch on a new remix for Australian producer Dugong Jr's latest offering, "Holding On" featuring Austen. The track was released via Diplo's Mad Decent imprint.
Blending the soulful and dreamy house notes of the original with a stabby, syncopated beat, Machinedrum has added a distinct energy to the tune. The remix stays true to the Mad Decent sound while expanding it into new and exciting territory. Futuristic and calculated, Stewart's remix is sure to have fans of IDM, trap, house, and future bass all dancing in unison.
Machinedrum adds this new remix of Dugong Jr to an already impressive body of work, including remixes for Hermitude, Chrome Sparks, and Noisia, in addition to several innovative and forward-thinking albums dating all the way back to 2001. The North Carolina producer's catalogue ranges widely in breadth, fusing many different styles and genres into some truly spectacular pieces of work.
