After having one of the most monumental years, Tyler Marenyi - better known under his electronic moniker NGHTMRE - continues his relentless winning streak with another blistering rap collaboration. This time, he's enlisted the talent of Atlanta rapper Gunna for a new single titled "CASH COW."
Unlike Marenyi’s most recent rap cut, “REDLIGHT” featuring A$AP Ferg, “CASH COW” doesn’t sound heavily electronic influenced. Whereas listeners could easily catch Marenyi’s signature trap and dubstep-rooted sounds in “REDLIGHT,” his EDM influence lays low in the background with subtle synth melodies and soft guitar licks.
Marenyi’s masterfully crafted beat carries just enough swagger and energy to accentuate Gunna’s rolling bars, letting the Atlanta rapper take the track to a whole different level. “CASH COW” seemingly takes a page out of emo-rap’s book fusing elements of serene melancholic guitar riffs, trap, and melodic rap vocals, making for a unique addition to both artists' discography.
Fans can spot both the stars together in the music video alongside the release of the track. The music video, which was filmed in Marenyi’s home city of Los Angeles, shows a cinematic heist perfectly depicting the single’s sonic chaos.
