Over the last 5 months, NGHTMRE has stayed relatively quiet in terms of original releases. That doesn't mean the talented producer hasn't kept busy though, touring all around the globe and playing almost every large festival imaginable while releasing forward-thinking remixes for Ekali and ZHU as well as Flosstradamus and Smokepurpp.
After his small hiatus from originals, the bass music figure is finally back with an unexpected release; definitely a pleasant surprise. Recruiting charismatic rapper Pell, NGHTMRE recently released his 2-track Magic Hour EP on Diplo's Mad Decent, one of his most interesting works to date. After collaborating with rapper A-F-R-O in 2016 and producing for PnB Rock and Wiz Khalifa last year, the versatile producer undoubtedly proves he can pull off the Hip-Hop thing as good as he can create mainstage-ready bangers.
"Swiss" can be labeled as the perfect party starter; slick lyrical game by Pell, topping NGHTMRE's upbeat and catchy production, while "Lights Low" is more sensual and lo-fi, having Pell rap over a moody boom bap-inspired beat that sounds as old-school as it is well-produced and relevant.
