Four months following its release, Party Favor (real name Dylan Ragland) and Salvatore Ganacci's "Wasabi" receives a spicy new music video in Jane Fonda-esque fashion. The collaboration was originally released on Layers, Party Favor's debut album.
Lava lamps, rotary dial telephones and vinyl records on the walls all contribute to the ambiance of this '80s-style effort. Both artists have been known to take their videos over the top, and the unabashedly quirky workout routine in "Wasabi" is further testament to that. This similar vein of deadpan humor earned Ganacci headlines following the release of his "Horse" music video back in April.
Party Favor brought a diverse offering of rappers and producers to the table for his debut album. Arguably the most purely dance-driven track on the album, "Wasabi" stands to catch a second wind on the back of this memorable sketch. Party Favor has additionally released the Layers remix album which features fresh new takes on the song by Wuki and J Worra.
