Skrillex (real name Sonny Moore) broke his 2018 release hiatus with a raucous JOYRYDE (real name John Ford) collaboration titled "Agen Wida" in the fall of last year. They appear to have given the single an update, and Ford couldn't help but share it with a recent live audience.
A video tweeted by Ford shows him playing the variation in production (VIP) out during a performance. Fittingly, the source material has remained too intact for it to be considered a remix - but distinctive bass house sound design elements have been incorporated into the arrangement.
While it remains to be seen whether the VIP will see the light of day in any official capacity, Moore has a wealth of new music in the works. In addition to collaborations with everyone from Burna Boy to Lan to the Zac Brown Band, he is rumored to have an album on the way.
Skrillex performs next at VELD Music Festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on August 3rd. JOYRYDE is slated to appear next at The Ritz Ybor in Tampa, Florida tonight, August 2nd.
