Skrillex Shares New Music via Instagram Live Stream
In an impromptu live stream session, Skrillex has teased music that some speculate may appear on his upcoming album.
Longtime fans of Skrillex (real name Sonny Moore) will likely delight in the sounds playing out during the video. They exhibit distinctive hallmarks of the Los Angeles DJ/producer's frenetic signature sound while incorporating more current influences such as jungle terror.
Moore rose to international superstardom following the release of the 2010 EP My Name Is Skrillex, effectively setting a new standard for sound design in contemporary EDM. Prior to that, he had toured as frontman of post-hardcore band From First To Last.
In addition to the new EP Moore released under he and Boys Noize's collaborative Dog Blood project, he recently revealed that he has an album (or two) of his own in the works. He also disclosed plans to share one-off singles in the meantime - like last week's TroyBoi collaboration, "WARLORDZ."
