Skrillex is back with "Would You Ever", a collaboration with Poo Bear
Though still silent about news concerning a sophomore album, Skrillex has been putting out a decent amount of singles and remixes in the last couple of years and has been in the studio with dozens of people, from Getter and Oshi to G-Eazy and D.R.A.M.
Today, one of these collaborations, his work with Poo Bear titled "Would You Ever", got to see the light of day and serves as his second original release of 2017; the first one being "Chicken Soup" with French producer Habstrakt.
Poo Bear, real name Jason Boyd, is an American producer and songwriter. In his year-long career he has co-written many tracks off Justin Bieber's albums Journals and Purpose, as well as Skrillex & Diplo's 2015 hit "Where Are Ü Know", also featuring the young singer. Now he has once again teamed up with Skrillex on "Would You Ever", a song undoubtedly made for the summer.
The soulful track showcases an uplifting vocal during the verses and a drop dominated by vocal chops that evoke a nostalgic feeling; almost like they came out of Skrillex's Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites era. Skrillex is no stranger to experimenting and taking unconventional creative paths, and proves it once again with this release; as it is has a pretty different flavor compared to his recent original productions.
