Sondr Serves Up Remix of "Can't Get Out of Bed" by Crimson Apple [Premiere]
If you've ever heard a pop song and thought, "This needs a feels-heavy future bass drop," know that Sondr have figured the same. The DJ/producer duo are no strangers to working alongside pop artists, and it shows in their remix of "Can't Get Out of Bed" by Crimson Apple.
After all, they kept most of what "Can't Get Out of Bed" had working for it intact. Crimson Apple singer Colby Benson's vulnerable lyrics take center stage for most of the arrangement. After the tension of each verse builds to a peak, however, a drop engineered to set a festival crowd into frenzied motion drowns out her looped vocal.
Sondr (consisting of Lorenzo Cosi and Yk Koi) each wrote music for the likes of Lana Del Ray, Meghan Trainor and Ella Eyre prior to launching their project. Their debut single arrived in the form of "Surviving," which arrived by way of Ultra Music in 2016.
