Yotto Returns with Inquisitive Single "Is This Trance?"
Yotto (real name Otto Yliperttula) is back with his latest single "Is This Trance?," out via his new imprint, Odd One Out.
Yliperttula has stepped outside of the sound that brought him to Above & Beyond's attention with "Is This Trance?" Entering with a slow, progressive build, the tune later graces listeners with lush synths and pounding percussion. While different from his usual flavor, Yliperttula informed us in a recent interview that his label allows him to be more flexible in his releases and that shows here as this release is far too trance-inspired for most labels he's worked with in the past. Undoubtedly, fans will certainly vibe with "Is This Trance?"
Yliperttula has had an unwavering presence in dance music since his first release on Above & Beyond's Anjunadeep in 2015. His recent releases continue to surge in popularity, such as his collaboration with Lane 8, "I / Y," his dusk and dawn remixes of Rüfüs Du Sol's "Underwater," and his first two releases on his new label, "Shifter" and "Nova."
