Zeds Dead Deliver Sinister Dubstep Remix of "bury a friend" by Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish made waves once again with the release of "bury a friend" early in the year - waves that have now struck the surface of the EDM world. Zeds Dead have delivered a dubstep remix of the single that offers up a poignant fusion of both camps' challenging signature styles.
This is by no means uncharted territory for Zeds Dead, a duo comprised of Dylan "DC" Mamid and Zachary "Hooks" Rapp-Rovan. Longtime fans might remember their remix of "Eyes On Fire" by Blue Foundation - another endeavor in which they fitted subversive vocals with dark and reverberant bass lines.
Eilish rose to fame in 2016 following the release of a single titled "Ocean Eyes." Having released a debut EP titled Don't Smile at Me the following summer, her first studio-length album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? is due out sometime this month.
Zeds Dead boast a career that extends much further back than the dubstep explosion which made them a household name after 2010. Following several cornerstone releases on Mad Decent, they launched their own imprint called Deadbeats in 2016.
