Alison Wonderland Brings 10-Year-Old Onstage to Press Play at State Theatre in Portland, Maine
One ten-year-old attendee of Alison Wonderland's performance at State Theatre in Portland, Maine just got the birthday present of a lifetime. The Australian DJ/producer brought 10-year-old Jack Knight onstage during her set last night to push the button on one of her tracks.
As can be heard in the clip tweeted by photographer Kuuri Nguyen, Alison Wonderland (real name Alexandra Sholler) introduces Knight over the mic and is met with an uproar of applause. After asking him if he's ever DJed (he hadn't), she shows him how to cue up the next song, "U Don't Know" from her 2015 album Run.
Run marked Sholler's studio-length album debut, with her sophomore effort arriving in the form of last year's 14-track Awake. Known for her energetic DJ sets and melodic take on heavy dubstep and trap, she has become a household name among EDM enthusiasts in recent years.
After a performance at The Anthem in Washington D.C. tomorrow evening, Alison Wonderland concludes the Lost My Mind tour alongside Dillon Francis with a performance at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
