Beats 1’s weekly radio show, One Mix, is gearing up for the New Year with 24 hours of electronic music.
The Welcome 2018 session will be hosted by Jax Jones and Anna Lunoe, as they bring forth 24 hours of mixes with 24 of electronic music’s finest artists. While many will be replays of 2017’s best features on One Mix - like Martin Garrix, Illenium and Oliver Heldens - there will be a few exclusive mixes in store for fans. Marshmello, Hardwell, Claptone, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, and of course, hosts Anna Lunoe and Jax Jones, among others, have special sets in store for One Mix’s final hurrah of 2017.
Given the broad spectrum of artists on the bill, the 24 hour mix session will capture electronic music in the beauty of its vast variety, hitting the mark on every genre from techno to trap. The artists themselves are leading figures in the electronic music world. Many of them have been instrumental in EDM’s growth and success this year, be it Illenium releasing his widely celebrated sophomore album Awake, Martin Garrix continuing to cement his status as the poster child of electronic music or Marshmello blurring the lines between pop and EDM.
The show will air Sunday 31st December at 1 am in LA, 4 am in NYC and 9 am in London.
