Diplo has his hands in a little bit of everything in the entertainment world - and now, that includes the Pokémon franchise. The DJ/producer and decorated hitmaker appears in the second trailer for POKÉMON Detective Pikachu.

The film looks to be a U.S. live adaptation of Pokémon, which started out in Japan as a Nintendo Game Boy game and then grew to include a television series, card game and several feature-length films. In a brief clip at 1:16 in the trailer released today, Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz Jr.) can be seen performing behind DJ decks.

"Playing myself in the Pokémon detective movie is the first time my kids have ever thought i’m cool," tweeted Pentz, confirming the appearance to be a cameo. He has not disclosed how long his scene in the film is, or whether he delivers any lines.
