Winner of Dog Blood Collectible Figure Contest Announced
Dog Blood, the collaborative project between Boys Noize and Skrillex, have been busy. They just released their new EP Turn On The Lights in May. After that, they hosted a contest to design Dog Blood collectible figures in partnership with Fan Forge, an open art gallery, and Good Smile Company, the creators of Nendoroid toys. The winner of the contest has now been chosen by the duo.
Artist Elena Fortune took the winning spot. Contest submissions closed on June 16, but Skrillex announced Fortune as the winner just two days ago on July 2 in a video. Contest guidelines stated: "Design something original, creative and inspired by the two members of Dog Blood". Elena Fortune's submission was the winner, but Skrillex made it very clear within the video and on Twitter that the choice wasn't easy, stating that all of the submissions were great.
Elena Fortune's design will now be made into a real vinyl toy by Good Smile Company. She will be receiving a commission for each collectible sold. The figures are not yet available, but Good Smile Company will provide updates.
