Any dedicated fan of modern bass music ought to know the name Frank Royal.
Among the heap of heavy dubstep singles hitting the market on a day-to-day basis, Royal's releases stand out. Singles like "Hideaway," "Cavalry" and "Armada" fuse hard-hitting sound design with infectious chords. It's a hard balance to strike, but one the Los Angeles producer seems to innately grasp.
"I love producing heavy bass music, mainly inspired from my roots in dubstep and drum and bass," Royal told EDM.com. "My goal with these new productions is to just have a crazy good time producing them, and translate that to people having a blast on dance floors worldwide. They're high-energy, heavy tunes to inspire you to dance your ass off and to bump on massive sound systems."
As 2019 draws to a close, be sure to look out for more from Frank Royal in 2020 and beyond.
