Growing up in Brighton, Kideko (real name Ryan Hurley) was influenced early on by British artists like Basement Jaxx and Fatboy Slim, often attending the latter artist's Beach Boutique parties with his mother. From drumming in local bands to studying music technology and production at college, Hurley continued to cement his passion for music.

Moving forward, Hurley propelled his pop-meets-club sound with songs like “Crank It” with George Kwali, “Burnin’ Up” with Friend Within, and “Dum Dum” with Tinie Tempah and Becky G.
