It was just unveiled that Marshmello and Bastille's worldwide sensation of a track, "Happier," reached fifty straight weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
The chart tracking publication uploaded an announcement and congratulation post to their Instagram page, honoring the collaboration.
Fifty straight weeks on top is a record for the dance music-focused chart. In an accompanying article by Billboard, they describe the success of the tune in detail. The chart first began in 2013, and before Marshmello's reign, Zedd's collaboration with Maren Morris and Grey, "The Middle," was the top dog for thirty-three consecutive weeks.
Late last month, the masked producer teamed up with Kane Brown for a virtual reality performance of their track "One Thing Right" on Good Morning America. In addition to the aforementioned performance, Mello brought out the country star during his set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
