Marshmello Breaks Billboard Dance Chart Record
Marshmello's "Happier" has demonstrated record-breaking staying power at the top of the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart. The collaboration with Bastille has seen 34 consecutive weeks at the #1 spot, netting it the longest tenure at #1 for any dance and electronic song on the chart.
Zedd's "Stay" with Maren Moris and Grey was the previous holder of this title with 33 consecutive weeks to its name. The Chainsmokers' and Halsey's "Closer" had the third-longest run. Avicii's "Wake Me Up" and The Chainsmokers' "Something Just Like This" with Coldplay round out the top five, respectively.
Ironically, Marshmello himself stands to potentially dethrone "Happier" from its top position. His collaboration with CHVRCHES, "Here With Me" currently holds #2 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart.
