ANIMA was Martin Garrix's story driven stage show concept.

Martin Garrix seldom leaves fans disappointed with any project he pursues, so the stage setup at his back-to-back Amsterdam RAI performances at Amsterdam Dance Event made for quite the spectacle. For those unable to attend, the Dutch superstar has uploaded a 4K resolution video of one of the sets to his YouTube channel.

As explained in a recent episode of The Martin Garrix Show, Martin Garrix Presents: ANIMA is more story driven than a typical electronic music stage show. The story depicts an AI gaining sentience and transcending its digital form with a combination of CG visuals and state-of-the-art lighting.

Martin Garrix (real name Martijn Garritsen) has closed 2018 out on a high note indeed, taking home his third consecutive #1 honor on the DJ Mag Top 100 and releasing a veritable wealth of music. His most recent official release is a collaboration with his childhood friend, Julian Jordan, titled "Glitch" that arrived by way of his STMPD RCRDS imprint.

Martin Garrix's final performances of the year will be a set at ISY Sanya International Music Festival in Sanya, China on Sunday, December 30th, and another at Knock Knock Pattaya Countdown 2019 in Pattaya City, Thailand on Monday, December 31st.
