Not a Drill: Skrillex Announces Release Date of First Album Since 2014, "Quest For Fire"
And just like that, a new album from Skrillex is officially on the way.
It's been almost a decade since the dubstep icon's last album, 2014's seminal debut, Recess. Its follow-up had become the stuff of myth through the years, and headlines have been running ad nauseam about when fans may finally hear it.
Skrillex has now confirmed his sophomore album, Quest For Fire, will release on February 17th, 2023.

He also released a riveting DJ set featuring the stunning music from Quest For Fire, dropping the curtain on many of the unreleased tracks from the Skrillex ecosystem, like the long-awaited "INHALE EXHALE" (with Aluna) and "Tears" (with Joker and Sleepnet).
The video also confirms Quest For Fire will include "RATATA," a hotly anticipated single with Mr. Oizo and Missy Elliott which interpolates lyrics from the iconic rapper's generational hip-hop anthem, "Work It." Fans can also look forward to a huge collaboration with Porter Robinson, who co-produced "Still Here (With The Ones That I Came With)," featuring Bibi Bourelly.
