In a statement released on Facebook, Sunset Music Festival in Tampa, Florida, has made the decision to cancel day 2. The day 2 lineup included heavy hitters like Excision, Illenium, 3lau, Joyryde, Zomboy, Crankdat, and more.

Florida’s Governor Scott has also declared a State of Emergency as a Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the state of Florida in anticipation of Alberto's landfall.

The decision was made by the Tampa Sports Authority, together with the Tampa Police Department and Tampa Fire Rescue. These groups believed that continuing the festival would put the health and safety of attendees at risk.

Social media users have begun questioning refund statuses, their items left in lockers, and how the weather seems better today. Several attendees traveled from across the country to go and vented their frustrations across Twitter and Facebook.
