Swedish House Mafia Signed to New Management in 2019
Swedish House Mafia have given fans a lot to look forward to in 2019, but their latest announcement will make a bigger difference behind the scenes. The iconic EDM trio have announced that moving forward they will be represented by Ron Lafitte of Patriot Management.
Lafitte started out managing heavy metal bands like Metallica and Megadeth, but his firm's roster now includes talent like Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic and Pharrell Williams. The news follows Swedish House Mafia's parting of ways with longtime manager Amy Thompson in August of 2018.
Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello reunited at last year's edition Ultra Music Festival - capping off an exactly five-year hiatus which began following their performance at the same event's 2013 installment. In addition to 2019 performances in such cities as Stockholm, Mexico City and Liverpool, the trio are said to have "lots of new music coming."
According to Variety, sources close to Swedish House Mafia's dismissed their rumored XS Las Vegas residency as "unlikely." The trio still have yet to disclose any titles or release dates for upcoming music at the time of writing.
